West Bay – May Bank Holiday 2013 – Drama & Great Diving

CSAC goes to West Bay in Dorset for a bank holiday of diving. 13 divers and their families descended on West bay this weekend for 3 days diving off the local boat Huntress 2. An annual pilgrimage to West Bay that did not disappoint !

“Club Dunk” 14 April @ Wraysbury Dive Centre, Staines

On a bright and warm (at last!)  spring day, club divers met at Wraysbury for the second “Club Dunk” testing new kit configurations and practicing skills ready for the new diving season, and just getting back into the open water.

Tring Brewery – April 11

20130411_213336Club went on a trip to Tring Brewery on 11 April in the evening.  This was a successful evening: a brewery tour, fish and chip supper and plenty of time to taste a good selection of their produce!  Many thanks to Brian for organising.

Spring Club Quiz Night

About 60 turned out for one highlight of the Club’s social calendar, the club quiz led by QuizMaster Supremo, Len Tridgell!

Rebreather Fever! Easter MOD1 Training

David and Chris spent the Easter break at Stoney Cove with Matt Robinson or Midland Rebreather Diving training for their MOD1 Rebreather qualification (45 meters with up to 15 mins decompression) on their new AP Diving “Inspiration” and “Evolution Plus” rebreathers. 

Wraysbury diving: April 6

Club members turned out in force for the first of the ‘Club Dunk’s’ at the Wraysbury dive centre.  Although the day was cold, it was sunny and warmed up progressively during the day.  The vis was good and the limpid lagoon was very refreshing at about 5 degrees.

An small group of club divers went to Stoney Cove on Friday 28 December for a Christmas Dive.  Stoney was busy as usual.  A couple of good dives on the Stanegarth.
