Chepstow Diving 21 May

CSAC Divers – Amy, Chris M, Chris R, David, Debbie, Mike and Will – met up at about 0915 at NDAC Chepstow, Monmouthshire.  After a fortifying bacon sandwich in the very nice on site cafe, divers kitted up for the first dive.

The first wave Chris and Debbie with dive instructors David and Mike training Will, Chris M and Amy went in off the pontoon in the shallow end (eg c.10m;  the deep end being approx 70m).   Despite being busy, the centre was not crowded.  The visibility was excellent – with the occasional cloudy patch.   Water temperature was about 12 degrees on the surface.

There are plenty of bits and pieces for underwater interest – vehicles, airplanes, diving bell, containers etc.

Unfortunately Mike disolocated a finger joint when dekitting, so Debbie and Mike headed off for medical support in Bristol.

Second wave divers Chris x2, David and Amy went in for their second dives; Amy’s parents joined in too!

After a debrief in the cafe, with news that Mike was being looked after, CSAC divers headed for home.  Traffic both ways was fine.

Here is a video from the day:
